What is the difference between an AIMS member and an AIMS officer?

Every international student enrolled at the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague automatically becomes a member of AIMS! AIMS Officers, however, are officials elected at the beginning of every academic year. Our officers hold responsibility for planning and promoting all our social and academic events.

How can I become an AIMS officer?

AIMS accepts applications from LF2-enrolled international students at the beginning of every academic year. The rules of nomination and conditions for individual positions are published online beforehand. When multiple students apply for the same position, the entire student body is invited to elect the person they believe is best suited for that position. The voting process is anonymous and conducted electronically.

What does being an AIMS officer entail?

Officers are required to attend the monthly meetings, as well as additional scheduled meetings, and fulfill the specific duties assigned to their position. Absences are limited and must be justified. Failure to meet these requirements will lead to forced resignation. The specific details for each position in AIMS are detailed here.
